    Comments:  This well circulated example is the single pennant variety. It is identified by the single pennant on the main mast of the ship. In this example there is a scratch and a planchet void behind the ship.

    Provenance:  Donated to Notre Dame in 1887 as part of a 2,300 item coin collection (see: The Notre Dame Scholastic,   vol. 21 (September 1887) 45.
