FAQ: Authentication and Grading Services

Authentication and grading

As of 2014 there are four companies providing an attribution and grading service for colonial coins. The services and prices for each company can be found on their websites. Each company and their URL are listed below.

The Professional Coin Grading Service, on the web at:

ANACS (formerly, this was an acronym for The American Numismatic Association Certification Service. In August 2002 the ANA closed the service and the company is now an independent third party that simply uses the initials as its name), it is on the web at:
