    North Carolina Currency


    December 1771

    An emission of £60,000 in public treasury bills of credit at the Proclamation Money rate. The notes were printed from engraved plates with a different emblem on each denomination. The three highest denominations are larger that the other bills. Denominations issued were: 1s, 2s6d, 5s, 10s, £1, 30s, £2, £3 and £5.
